Stephan Lutz, PDG par int\u00e9rim et directeur financier du groupe 100x Group<\/strong>, la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 m\u00e8re de BitMEX<\/strong>, a fait part de ses r\u00e9flexions sur les manigances des bureaux de n\u00e9gociation des bourses de crypto-monnaies, \u00e0 la suite du rapport du Financial Times sur les all\u00e9gations de transactions internes pour compte propre chez Crypto.com, bas\u00e9 \u00e0 Singapour. M. Lutz estime que les bourses de crypto-monnaies qui gagnent de l’argent gr\u00e2ce au trading pour compte propre auraient d\u00fb supprimer progressivement les \u00e9quipes internes de tenue de march\u00e9, car elles ne sont plus n\u00e9cessaires. Ce travail est effectu\u00e9 par les traders \u00e0 haute fr\u00e9quence (HFT) et les prop shops qui peuvent fonctionner comme fournisseurs de liquidit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

Arrakis Finance aujourd’hui et \u00e0 l’apog\u00e9e de BitMEX<\/strong><\/h2>\n

BitMEX employait des traders internes travaillant pour une entit\u00e9 juridique distincte nomm\u00e9e Arrakis Capital, a op\u00e9r\u00e9 une transition vers un r\u00f4le plus limit\u00e9 qui se r\u00e9f\u00e8re \u00e0 un \u00ab\u00a0bureau de tr\u00e9sorerie\u00a0\u00bb. Arrakis, qui \u00e9tait autrefois un important teneur de march\u00e9 interne pour la bourse, est maintenant \u00ab\u00a0technologiquement\u00a0\u00bb et \u00ab\u00a0organisationnellement\u00a0\u00bb s\u00e9par\u00e9e de BitMEX, selon Lutz. Elle ne remplit plus que quelques fonctions telles que la conversion des commissions en monnaie fiduciaire, la couverture de l’inventaire des tokens de BitMEX et la cr\u00e9ation de march\u00e9s pour le jeton BMEX de BitMEX.<\/p>\n

\u00c0 son apog\u00e9e, BitMEX a domin\u00e9 le march\u00e9 des contrats \u00e0 terme sur crypto-monnaies<\/a>, repr\u00e9sentant 143,9 milliards de dollars sur les 183,63 milliards de dollars de volume d’\u00e9changes de contrats \u00e0 terme sur bitcoins enregistr\u00e9s en juillet 2019. \u00c0 l’\u00e9poque, Arrakis fournissait des services de tenue de march\u00e9 \u00e0 la plateforme, car il n’y avait pas de prestataires de services capables de fournir une liquidit\u00e9 fiable dans le carnet d’ordres d’une bourse.<\/p>\n

Une surveillance accrue des traders internes<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Selon le CEO de BitMEX M. Lutz, depuis la chute du FTX<\/a> l’ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, les bourses dot\u00e9es d’\u00e9quipes de n\u00e9gociation font l’objet d’un examen plus approfondi. Il note que la plupart des grandes entreprises, sinon toutes, emploient des traders dans le cadre d’une fonction de tr\u00e9sorerie, mais qu’il est important de faire la distinction entre cette structure et les \u00e9quipes internes qui fonctionnent davantage comme un fonds sp\u00e9culatif. La s\u00e9paration des fonds des clients et des fonds propres est un signal d’alarme, tout comme l’acc\u00e8s aux donn\u00e9es et la capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 prendre les devants, ainsi que la possibilit\u00e9 de faire bouger les march\u00e9s sur sa propre bourse.
