Live trading
our instructors trade live(in front of everyone — the wins as well as the losses)
At Captain Trading, the people who teach actually trade. This summer, FX and the Cap are putting it into practice in public: two live trading sessions a week on YouTube, every Tuesday and Thursday. Everything happens live — the wins as well as the losses — and every decision gets explained.
Why trade in public
Online trading has a problem: screenshots. Anyone can show a winning trade after the fact, cherry-pick their results and tell a nice story about it. We do the opposite. Our instructors, specialists in scalping and intraday trading, open their charts live and make their calls right in front of you.
Trading live in public is the most honest exercise in this business. Either the plan holds up against the market or it doesn't, and everyone sees it at the same time. No editing, no cherry-picking, no trade quietly deleted. You see the analysis being built in real time, the hesitation before the entry, the stop that gets hit when the market decides otherwise. That's how we prove it: Captain Trading isn't a guru, it's an academy. Transparent, because it shows everything. Demanding, because it holds itself to that standard of proof.
Two sessions a week
Reading key levels, hand-picked setups, entries and exits commented on in real time on BTC or ETH. Since late June, he's been tackling a live $25,000 prop firm challenge, under strict rules: 3% maximum loss per day, 6% total, a 10% profit target to pass, risk capped at 0.25% per trade. The pressure is real, and risk management comes before everything else.
High-potential reversal setups with a low win rate, and he owns that from the start. This week he chased volatility on a battered Bitcoin, mid-drop below $60,000, working BTC, ETH or SOL with reduced size and tight stops. The approach is educational above all, and he says it plainly, live: "Please don't do this at home." This style isn't for everyone, and nobody is encouraging you to copy it.
A page that updates itself
This page isn't static. Every new Tuesday and Thursday live gets added here automatically, week after week, all summer long. No need to dig through the channel: everything is grouped here, in order. Come back regularly: the replays keep piling up and the full history stays visible. No live disappears because it went badly.

What you learn by watching
A well-commented live trading session is a course in real conditions. Concretely, here's what you see:
And above all: losses are part of the programme. A losing trade gets commented on too, often for longer than a winning one, because that's where the learning happens. Some sessions end in the red, and their replays stay online.
"Taking stop-losses live isn't fun, but it's part of the game."
What you'll never see here, though, is a promise of results. Watching someone trade won't make you a profitable trader. These lives show you the craft as it really is, with its discipline and its risks. The method itself is built through practice and through actual training.
Frequently asked questions
When do the live trading sessions happen?
Two sessions a week on the Captain Trading YouTube channel: Tuesday at 2:30pm (Paris time) with the Cap for the US session open, and Thursday at 4pm (Paris time) with FX for the more aggressive sessions. Replays are added to this page automatically every week.
What is a prop firm challenge?
A prop firm hands trading capital to a trader who passes its challenge: a profit target to hit while sticking to strict rules (maximum daily loss, total drawdown). The Cap is running one live during the Tuesday sessions, with the rules shown on screen.
Is live trading risk-free?
No. Trading carries a real risk of losing capital, and Thursday's more aggressive sessions are a reminder of that every single time. These sessions are educational: nobody is encouraging you to copy the trades, and nothing here is investment advice.
What now?
Start with a replay, whichever fits your style. More the methodical type? Head for the Cap's sessions. Curious to see an aggressive style broken down? Watch FX's. Then subscribe to the YouTube channel to catch the next lives and ask questions during the session. Want to talk about it between two lives? Join the Discord. And if you want to understand the basics behind what's happening on screen, the free trading course covers them in depth.
Educational and informational content only. Nothing on this page constitutes investment advice. Trading carries a risk of losing capital, and high-risk trading isn't suitable for everyone.
