Also called: haussier, baissier, bullish, bearish
A bull market rises steadily, driven by optimism; a bear market falls, dominated by fear. The imagery comes from how each animal attacks: a bull thrusts its horns upward, a bear swipes downward. Being “bullish/bearish” on an asset means expecting it to rise/fall.
