Tilt
Also called: revenge trading
Tilt (borrowed from poker) describes the state where, gripped by frustration after a loss, a trader abandons their plan: they overtrade, increase their size to “win it back” (revenge trading), and deepen their losses. Recognizing your tilt and stopping is a skill just as crucial as technical analysis.
