winget
winget is Windows’ official package manager: a command-line tool that downloads and installs software from a catalog verified by Microsoft. Instead of hunting for an installer on the web — risking landing on a fake site — you type winget install Git.Git in PowerShell and Git installs itself, in its latest version. The guide uses it to install Git and Node.js in two commands. Bonus: winget upgrade --all then updates, in one shot, every piece of software winget recognizes on your machine.
