The MT5 trading bot from BBS
The MT5 trading bot from the “Conçois ton Bot de Trading” course, rebuilt with Claude and tested on a demo account since October 8. Here is what it does, with live figures.

Each bar is the day’s net result of the MT5 trading bot, all closed positions combined. Hover a bar for the detail; the tiles below give the profile of the test.
One loss weighs almost two wins: that is the bot’s profile, and it is why the win rate has to stay high. Expectancy: +$28.55 per trade.
The deepest trough of the test: around the biggest loss, on IBEX 35, on November 4.

Every step, dated
The logbook of an MT5 trading bot: what we did and what came of it, glitches included. Green: launch, addition. Mint: origin, milestone. Gold: tuning, infrastructure. Red: removal, incident. Dotted: upcoming.
The “Conçois ton Bot de Trading” bootcamp
BBS walks through his method live: a strategy described in numbered rules, the MQL5 code written by AI, the backtest on MetaTrader 5, then going live. The replay becomes a permanent video course the next day.
The bot comes to life
From the content of the VOD, we rebuild the bot with Claude: the Expert Advisor, a home-made testing engine and a reporter. The engine matches MT5’s Strategy Tester down to the dollar. Blueberry Markets demo account, $10,000 to start, first trade the same day on EUR/USD.
The dashboard
A reporter records the bot’s state every 60 seconds: positions, results, reasons for staying aside. It feeds the figures on this page.
The FTSE 100 joins the demo
After a sweep of 66 of the broker’s assets run through the test bench, the British index is the steadiest. Same evening: the PC hosting the bot crashes, we restart it by hand… and MT5’s algorithmic trading stays switched off. Lesson No. 1: a bot lives on a server, not on a PC.
GBP/USD leaves the demo
The pound’s drawdown on the simulation is prohibitive compared with the rest of the portfolio. We cut it and let the open position finish its run.
First tuning
Gold’s risk per trade is reduced, EUR/USD gets new settings after a study of its last six months. A bot gets revised: BBS says so in the course, and we are living it.
First stop-loss
Thirteen wins in a row, then Ether hits its stop: −$334.50, the biggest loss of the test so far. A stop weighing nearly six times the test’s average win: that is the strategy’s profile, accepted, and it is why the win rate has to stay very high.
The bot moves to a VPS
A dedicated Windows server, automatic restart verified: no more outages tied to the PC. The same day, the IBEX 35, the bootcamp’s index, joins the demo.
GBP/JPY tried, EUR/USD tuned more finely
Thousands of backtests for EUR/USD lead to new settings, deployed in the evening. The pound against the yen enters the test on a setup that is robust to noise but sensitive to its parameters: we know it, we want to see.
Pyramiding and two-step exit
The IBEX 35 can stack one more position, Ether banks part of its gain at the first target and lets the rest run. Every change goes through the MT5 tester first, then gets deployed.
The incident: our bug
A function in Ether’s Expert Advisor closed six positions on the other assets within one second, well before their target: −$278 net, and five of the account’s six losses to date. Fixed, tested on several charts at once, redeployed within the day. Lesson No. 2: a single-asset tester cannot see multi-asset bugs.
The two best days
October 22 and 23: thirteen trades, thirteen wins, +$437 then +$379. The five remaining assets all contribute, the IBEX 35 in the lead.
This page
A few weeks of testing, +14.4% on the balance, 36 wins to 6 losses. We open the logbook to the public: the figures in the banner update on their own, the entries of this logbook at every step.
GBP/JPY leaves the demo
The pound, against the dollar as well as the yen: a waste of time at best, a loss on the simulation at worst. The test continues with gold, Ether, EUR/USD, the FTSE 100 and the IBEX 35.
What’s next
We are gently preparing to go live, on traditional markets as well as crypto. And since a prop firm challenge is just a list of numbered rules, we have already coded the daily guard that goes with it: it is the next testing ground.
What the test tells us
The method holds
72 wins to 10 losses, a profit factor of 2.31, 21 positive days out of 23. The profile BBS teaches shows up in the numbers.
Indices and gold deliver
FTSE 100: 13 wins in 13 trades. IBEX 35: 20 wins in 24 trades. Gold: 4 wins in 4 trades. Those 3 account for 52% of the test’s net.
The pound
The net of the two pound pairs. GBP/USD (+$13.72) removed on October 12, GBP/JPY (−$166.38) removed on October 26: a waste of time at best, a loss on the simulation at worst.
The glitches were our own
Of the 10 losses so far, 5 come from our bug of October 20, fixed the same day. A PC that crashed on the 11th, a dedicated server since the 17th.
What’s next
- Real money, gentlyWe are preparing for it slowly, on traditional markets as well as crypto.
- The prop firmA challenge is a list of numbered rules: the daily guard that goes with it is already coded. The test has started; follow it in the logbook of the MT5 trading bot.
- Monday, October 26GBP/JPY has left the demo. The test continues with gold, Ether, EUR/USD, the FTSE 100 and the IBEX 35.

The bot comes from a BBS course
The bot on this page comes straight out of BBS’s course “Conçois ton Bot de Trading”, taught in French: a strategy described in numbered rules, the code written by AI, the backtest on MetaTrader 5, going live. To start for free in English: our free courses.

6 questions, 6 answers
Is it a real account?
It is a MetaTrader 5 demo account at Blueberry Markets, credited with $10,000 of virtual money. Prices and execution are the broker’s, the money is virtual, and a few weeks do not make a statistic.
Who wrote the bot?
Claude, Anthropic’s AI, working from the content of BBS’s course: the Expert Advisor in MQL5, a home-made testing engine and a reporter that records the account state every 60 seconds. The engine was checked against MT5’s Strategy Tester: same trades, same result down to the dollar.
Why do the settings stay private?
Because they are the course material: the rules, the indicators, the risk management, the filtering of losing trades. This page tells what the bot does and what comes of it; the course explains how it is designed.
When do the figures update?
The figures in the banner come from the reporter’s latest snapshot, time-stamped in Paris time, and the page refreshes every five minutes. Logbook entries are added at each step: addition, tuning, incident, removal.
Why do some assets leave the demo?
Selection is part of the job. GBP/USD left on October 12 for a prohibitive drawdown on the simulation; GBP/JPY leaves on October 26: a waste of time at best, a loss on the simulation at worst. A bot gets revised: we keep what holds up and cut the rest.
What about going live, and prop firms?
We are preparing for it slowly, on traditional markets as well as crypto: the test decides when. A prop firm challenge boils down to numbered rules, and the daily guard that goes with it is already coded into the bot: it is the next testing ground, on demo first. Each prop firm has its own conditions on bots, to be read before signing up.
