CFD
Also called: contract for difference, contrat sur différence
A CFD (Contract For Difference) is a derivative: you bet on the price movement of an asset (index, stock, crypto) without ever owning it, often with leverage. Convenient and flexible, but what you hold is a claim on the broker — not the actual asset — with a possible conflict of interest if that broker is your counterparty.
