Support / Résistance
Also called: support, resistance
A support is a level below price where demand tends to stop the decline; a resistance is a level above price where supply tends to stop the rise. These are zones, not exact lines. A broken level often flips its role (a broken support becomes resistance) — this is the polarity principle.
