Breakout (cassure)
Also called: cassure, break
A breakout happens when price breaks through a support, a resistance, or a pattern (range, triangle). A genuine breakout is often accompanied by volume and triggers a directional move; a false breakout (fakeout) traps traders by luring them in right before a reversal. Telling the two apart is the challenge of this strategy.
