Range

A range is a consolidation phase where price bounces between a horizontal support and resistance, with no clear direction. Markets spend most of their time in a range. You trade the extremes (buy low, sell high) while waiting for the breakout — or you stay out, since ranges generate plenty of false signals in the middle.
