Fakeout (fausse cassure)
Also called: false breakout, fausse cassure, sfp
A fakeout is a deceptive breakout: price briefly pushes past a key level to trigger orders and stops, then snaps back hard in the other direction. Often built around liquidity zones, it’s a classic trap. Read correctly, it becomes an excellent counter-trend entry (Swing Failure Pattern).
